Growing up as a 90’s You may have spent part of your Friday mornings watching a happy pile of cartoons like Talespin, Recess, Animaniacs, or even Chip ‘n Dale.
Chip and Dale actually have been around a lot longer than the 1990’s however, This funny duo was created in 1943 by The Walt Disney Company, and since Disney has been going crazy with reboots, it looks like we are diving deep into the classics for a reboot.
Don’t roll your eyes yet. First you have to watch the trailer, and you may find that this could be one of the best family films to come out May 20th, 2022. Watch the trailer, then let’s talk about the easter eggs we already found in this movie!
Did you see any easter eggs or Cameos? Until we watch the movie we wont know what characters are subtle Cameos or full on Characters that are so sneaky. So here’s what we see so far.
Collectors Items
Disney shows off some of their old merchandise for these cute critters, including the NES game Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers that came out in 1990.
Chip ‘n Dale lunch boxes, plush dolls, VHS (that’s what we used to watch movies on before DVD, before blu-ray and before digital streaming.)
Famous Characters
Rodger Rabbit can be seen on the dance floor, which makes sense because this film literally have the vibe of Rodger Rabbit, with a mix if humans and chartoon characters. I wont be surprised if he takes on a lead roll or even has a lot of his own lines.
The Three Little Pigs are also on the dance floor with Rodger Rabbit, and they debuted on May 27th, 1933. If you watch that classic with a keen eye you will see they had some dark humor in that cartoon with their wall art.
Apparently They couldn’t get Comicon to get on board for the movie, because they named the convention in the movie Fan Con. At Fan Con though, we see a cosplayer dressed as Moana, someone is also dressed up as a cosplay of Borrat, and Batman logos everywhere.
Scrooge from Duck Tales makes a appearance as well, naturally swimming in his money! Then shortly after that we see Aladdin flying around on rug in his prince Ali outfit.
My Little Pony characters show up to give Chip n’ Dale a lift too, including Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and more.
Theme Parks
When looking at the family photo if you look in the background you will see that appears to be Cinderella’s castle at Disney World. 
Theme parks wouldn’t be theme parks without overselling merchandise, so we get a shout out to Indiana Jones, and more specifically the stuff they sell so people can feel like they are Indiana Jones.
Movie References
Then surprisingly we see a shout out to the famous Jurassic Park! Yes Chip n’ Dale are Disney property, and Jurassic Park is owned by Universal Studios, but here we see a cross studio shout out, Which isn’t a first, but these type of easter eggs are very uncommon for sure.
When the T-Rex came in and saved the day attacking the raptors, once she’s done she screams knocking down the sign.
Another movie they reference is Cats, and in case you didn’t see Cats and you are one of the lucky ones, I have to say they picked the perfect spot to reference that movie, right next to a dumpster full of trash.
